Bigben Egg One is a compact drone with a budget price tag

French manufacturer Bigben has revealed a compact egg-shaped drone that's sure to please kids and novices yet to make their maiden drone flight. It's a great gift idea, especially for beginners, and will sell for less than €40 (RM195.20) when it is released later this month.

The Egg One is billed as a fun, customisable leisure drone, designed for use by kids as well as novice flyers. It promises easy control and piloting, notably thanks to its altitude stabiliser and its assisted flying mode via the accompanying app, available to download free from Google Play (Android) and the Apple App Store (iOS).

The manufacturer announces a range of 10m (via Bluetooth only) and a battery life of six minutes. That certainly isn't long, especially since it takes 90 minutes to fully charge the drone before being able to enjoy the maximum flight time again. Still, it's difficult to expect more from such a low-cost device, since the Egg One sells for just €39.99 (RM195.15). Note that each extremely light and compact drone can be customised with a set of stickers included.

With the holiday season just around the corner, Bigben also has a new drone called Hawk, created in collaboration with Dunkan Bossion, one of the world's top drone flyers. This model is quick and easy to get the hang of thanks to assisted flying and a flight stabiliser. It costs €69.99 (RM341.55). — AFP Relaxnews
