Bina Darulaman MD Datuk Izham Yusoff passes away

KUALA LUMPUR: Kedah-based property and construction firm Bina Darulaman Bhd (BDB) group managing director Datuk Izham Yusoff has passed away this morning, the company said in a statement. 

Izham, 50, passed away at 8.04 am at Pantai Hospital Kuala Lumpur. He left behind wife, Datin Joani Sofina Othman, 49, and a son and a daughter. 

According to the company’s annual report, Izham was appointed director of BDB on August 19, 2013 and subsequently re-designated to non-independent executive director and group MD February 1, 2014.

He held a Bachelor of Accounting and Master of Business Administration (Accounting & International Business) both from University of Miami, United States of America.

He was once the managing director and chief executive officer of KUB Malaysia Bhd 2004 until 2007 and a board member of Bursa Malaysia Bhd. 

His other corporate stints were as MD and CEO of Percetakan Nasional Malaysia Bhd and Amanah Raya Bhd. 

Elsewhere he had also served as executive director/ chief operating officer of Ninebio Sdn. Bhd from 2007 until 2010.

He was appointed as a member of Investment Panel of Lembaga Tabung Haji from 1 October 2015.
