Black Maria leaves Najib's Jalan Duta house after 20-hour search
KUALA LUMPUR: A Black Maria left the house of Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak following almost 20 hours of searching through the premises.
The vehicle left the residence at around 4.45pm,escorted by several police outriders and a police car.
Unmarked boxes were seen in the back of the truck, and it is believed that the boxes may contain personal items taken from Najib’s house.
However, there is no sign that the drawn-out police search at the former premier’s house is over as police are still maintaining a perimeter leading up to the residence.
Minutes before the Black Maria left the premise, Gabungan Gerakan NGO Selangor chairman Nazilah Idris spoke to the press after she was denied entry into the residence.
She said she had come to show her support for the former prime minister but was turned away.
“I know his character very well and I know that the RM2.6bil is not the people’s money as it was revealed to be a political donation from the Saudi Arabian King.
“That means he is not a thief,” she said.
