Datuk CEO who allegedly groped nurse released on bail

PETALING JAYA: A "Datuk" who was remanded for allegedly groping a nurse at a hospital in Subang Jaya has been released on police bail.

Selangor CID chief SAC Fadzil Ahmat confirmed that the Datuk was released on Wednesday afternoon.

SAC Fadzil said that police had completed their investigations into the case.

“We are satisfied with the investigation and we have handed over the investigation papers to the deputy public prosecutor (DPP),” he said when contacted.

The suspect had been remanded for allegedly groping the 19-year-old nurse.

The incident allegedly took place at around 7.30pm on Friday in a ward at a private hospital in Subang Jaya where the man, a CEO of a major real estate and investment company, was receiving treatment.

The Datuk allegedly molested the nurse by grabbing her buttocks and breasts while kissing her on the cheek.

The nurse later lodged a police report, leading to the man's arrest.

The Datuk was then remanded for four days to allow for investigations.
