Dr M calls up former MACC chief Abu Kassim
PUTRAJAYA: Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad has called up Tan Sri Abu Kassim Mohamed (pic) to seek information believed to be on SRC International and the RM2.6bil fund linked to 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB).
The former Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission chief said the Prime Minister had several questions and matters that he wanted to clarify with him.
“I answered him with whatever information that I have on the issue,” he told reporters as he was leaving the Perdana Leadership Foundation on Thursday.
Asked if the questions from the Prime Minister were about MACC's investigations into SRC International and the RM2.6bil fund, Abu Kassim replied, “Dr Mahathir wanted to be clear over a few matters, and I gave him my answers.”
SRC International had been accused of transferring millions of ringgit into the private accounts of former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.
