Hearty servings of Western food
THOSE looking to satisfy their cravings for Western food without burning a hole in their pocket may like what Garden Western Grill has to offer.
Located at Selera Wawasan in SS3, Petaling Jaya, the stall serves up generous portions of food at an affordable price.
I learned that the owner got the idea to open a stall serving steaks after watching videos on YouTube and getting recipes online.
What sets this stall apart from others serving Western food, is its homemade sauces.
I visited the stall just as it opened at 6pm.
After going through the chalkboard menu propped in front of the stall, I decided to opt for a favourite among many – grilled chicken chop.
I also ordered soya cincau, which proved to be a refreshing drink after a long day at work.
The grilled chicken chop soon arrived and I was told to be careful as the sauce was piping hot.
The portion was huge! For small eaters, this dish can be shared among three, which makes it worth the RM17 price tag.
I dug into the hearty fare, which comprised chicken, sausages, toast, salad and fries.
The savoury homemade black pepper sauce was thick and unique, as I have never tasted anything similar to it.
I also tried the rich, creamy and tangy homemade tartar sauce which goes well with fish and chips.
If you like steak, try the beef steak and state your preferred doneness.
Garden Western Grill is located at Selera Wawasan food court Lot 18, Jalan SS 3/33, Taman Universiti, Petaling Jaya.
Business hours are from 6pm to 11pm but it is wise to go early as the food usually sells out by 9pm.
