Hit-and-run: Motorcyclist killed on NPE
PETALING JAYA: A 32-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a hit-and-run accident on the New Pantai Expressway (NPE) at 1.30pm Wednesday.
Subang Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Mohammad Azlin Sadari said the incident was believed to have occurred at the KM2.8 of the NPE heading towards Subang Jaya.
In the incident, he said, the motorcyclist could have been hit from behind which caused him to be flung onto the road divider.
ACP Mohammad Azlin said the victim, identified as Che Amrol Abu Bakar, from Dungun, Terengganu, died at the scene of head injuries.
The next-of-kin of the victim has been informed of his death.
He said the weather at the time of the incident was good while the road, which had three lanes, was straight and traffic was smooth flowing.
ACP Mohammad Azlin said that police were now looking for the driver of the vehicle involved in the accident.
