Johor Ruler Sultan Ibrahim buys 63m 7-Eleven shares

KUALA LUMPUR: Johor Ruler Sultan Ibrahim Ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar has raised his shareholding in 7-Eleven Malaysia Holdings Bhd when he purchased 63.08 million shares.

A filing with Bursa Malaysia showed that after the purchase of the 5.1% stake, his shareholding in the covenience store owner and operator  increased to 15.52% or 172.37 million shares.

Earlier, in the day, StarBiz reported that the 63.08 million shares were traded in an off-market deal at an average price of RM1.45 for a total of RM91.46mil.

The share price closed up one sen to RM1.56.

Berjaya Group founder Tan Sri Vincent Tan is the largest shareholder with a 41.73% stake or 463.35 million shares of 7-Eleven.
