Kelab AmBank treats 60 children to festive fun and good food

SOME 60 children from House of Hope were all smiles as they enjoyed an evening of good food and live entertainment with their friends.

It was especially memorable for seven-year-old Ashley Au when she was announced as the winner of the colouring contest during AmBank Group’s Chinese New Year dinner at a hotel in Penang recently.

The Year One pupil of SJK (C) Chung Hwa Confucian B was all smiles as she received a hamper of school supplies which was her height.

“I love the school bag,” she said, adding that colouring was her hobby.

She held the hamper with pride alongside runner-up Nur Alia Fariesya Roszaman, 12, and second runner-up Muhammad Danish Haiqal Ismail, 10, both of whom received school supply hampers as well.

AmBank Group communications and media relations vice-president Engku Ili Hanisah said they organised the colouring contest for the children, aged between seven and 12, prior to the gathering that evening.

Some 300 staff members and media took part in the event hosted by Kelab AmBank Group (KAG) as part of the group’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme.
