Langkawi SkyCab: Tourists sent to hospital for observation
LANGKAWI: The passengers who were trapped in the SkyCab gondolas are being sent to the Langkawi Hospital for observation.
Langkawi Development Authority (LADA) chief executive officer Datuk Azizan Noordin told Bernama that one of the tourists had fainted but regained consciousness before being taken to the hospital.
"The rest were okay but tired, while some appeared to be a bit traumatised after being stranded inside a stalled cable car and hanging a few hundred metres high for a couple of hours. But we are doing our best to comfort them and provide the necessary assistance," said Azizan.
He said the cable car service would cease operations for a day on Monday (Feb 19) to enable a thorough investigation into the incident.
