Lee Chong Wei makes special appearance at DSA security expo

KUALA LUMPUR: National shuttler Datuk Lee Chong Wei caused quite a stir at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre when fans spotted him touring the halls at the Defence Services Asia (DSA) and National Security Asia exhibitions on Wednesday.

Lee, who holds the rank of Commander (Honorary) in the Royal Malaysian Navy (RMN), was led by RMN chief Admiral Tan Sri Ahmad Kamarulzaman Ahmad Badaruddin.

Just as he was making his way into the hall at around 12.15pm, scores of fans, both civilian and uniformed personnel, swarmed the World No 7 in hopes of scoring a selfie, for which he duly obliged.

Even foreign exhibitors were eager to have their photos taken with Lee, who won his third men's singles gold medal at the recently concluded Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast.

The group left the hall shortly after the visit and did not take questions from the media.
