Nurul Izzah thanks PM for 'shortening distance' with MRT-SBK line
PETALING JAYA: Lembah Pantai MP Nurul Izzah Anwar took to Twitter to thank the Prime Minister for "shortening the distance" between Sungai Buloh and Kajang with the completion of the MRT-SBK line.
"Thank you @NajibRazak for shortening the distance from Sungai Buloh @anwaribrahim to Kajang @drwanazizah," she tweeted on Monday.
Nurul Izzah's father, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, is serving a five-year jail term at the Sungai Buloh prison.
Her mother, PKR president Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, is assemblyman for Kajang.
On July 10, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak had poked fun at the Opposition when he called the opening of the MRT-SBK line the "real Kajang Move" on his Facebook page.
The Kajang Move was coined by PKR in a political manoeuvre in which the party attempted to replace former Selangor mentri besar Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim with Anwar. Dr Wan Azizah won the seat on behalf of Anwar.
On Sunday, Najib tweeted that starting Monday, the journey to visit acquaintances in Sungai Buloh from Kajang would be much easier and comfortable.
