Penampang man's vehicle turns turtle near bridge, he casually walks back home

PENAMPANG: A man sustained minor injuries after his four wheel drive turned turtle at a bend along Jalan Tulangis near the Moyog bridge here.

The man's younger brother told the police that he had gotten out of the vehicle after the collision, and walked home early Wednesday morning.

When seven fire-fighters from the Penampang Fire and Rescue Department arrived at the scene after a report was received at 2.59am, the man was already nowhere to be found.

Penampang OCPD Deputy Supt Mohd Haris Ibrahim said the man was not driving under the influence of alcohol.

"The driver was heading from Donggongon to Putatan when he lost control of the vehicle and swerved off a bend nearby the Moyog bridge," he added.

The case is being investigated under Rule 6 LN 166/59 for falling asleep while driving and recklessly controlling a vehicle.
