A DAP assemblyman, who questioned the status of Klinik 1Malaysia in the august House, caused an uproar among several Barisan Nasional elected representatives, when he used the words “kurang siuman” (insane) against one of them.

It all started when R.S.N. Rayer (DAP-Seri Delima) stood up to pose the question to Dr Afif Bahardin, who was delivering his winding-up speech.

“What happened to Klinik 1Malaysia? There were also complaints that these clinics are not operating full-time. The medical officers are also sometimes not available,” Rayer asked, claiming that the clinics have also gone bankrupt.

Datuk Dr Muhamad Farid Saad (BN-Pulau Betong) asked Rayer to show facts.

Dr Afif then said he did not receive any report from the Health Department on this.

Opposition Leader Datuk Jahara Hamid then stood up and exclaimed that Rayer was already “confused”, adding that Rayer “cakap merepek” (speaking gibberish).

This then triggered a shouting match between Jahara and Rayer.
