Sister of Pribumi leader begs forgiveness from DAP
PETALING JAYA: Hamizura Osman, who is the sister of Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Pribumi) vice-president Hamidah Osman, has apologised to the Chinese community – especially to Perak DAP, for her racist remarks.
In a Facebook post on Thursday afternoon, Hamizura referred to a scathing media report that apparently represented views of the Opposition party.
"Even though I have apologised, the issue is still being played out, because they said it hurt the feelings of the Chinese community," she said.
Hamizura had made the racially-charged remarks against the Chinese community in a status update on Wednesday morning.
She then took the opportunity to apologise to the Chinese, "especially DAP Perak if you are offended by my statement".
DAP is Pribumi's partner in Pakatan Harapan.
"My friends in Pakatan Harapan are very worried if the Chinese family members of Pakatan, especially those from DAP, are offended by my statement. A million apologies to DAP, please forgive me," she added.
