St Regis KL to participate in MyApprenticeship

PETALING JAYA: The St Regis Kuala Lumpur is participating in Malaysia’s MyApprenticeship initiative, which comes as part of The St Regis KL’s continued commitment to education and training.

The St Regis KL’s dedicated training programme is focused on developing skills and talent, and improving employability in the service sector.

Known as the New Associate Training Profile & Certification (NATPC), this comprehensive four to six months course in hospitality, hotel and branded residences management, features a combination of classroom-style and on-the-job training, with rotations through specialised departments.

ONE IFC Sdn Bhd CEO Carmen Chua said:

“The St Regis Kuala Lumpur’s commitment represents our dedication to education, enhancing investments in human capital, and strengthening the skills base in Malaysia.

“The MyApprenticeship initiative shares many synergies with our objective of creating more jobs in the service sector, and in supporting a high skill, knowledge-based economy.”

ONE IFC is the developer and owner of The St Regis KL.

To be launched today by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak at the Putra World Trade Centre, MyApprenticeship is a brand new initiative from the National Blue Ocean Strategy.

The programme’s initiative is aimed and focused at the placement of youth, women, diploma or degree graduates and current workers to take part in the public and private apprenticeship training in order to acquire knowledge, skills and valuable working experience whilst increasing their employability to enter, stay, and progress in their line of work.

In addition, employers stand to gain from increased access to recruit potential workers for their organisations.
