TNB cuts power to school over unpaid bills but supply restored by afternoon
ACTIVITIES in SK Methodist Petaling Jaya were disrupted this morning when Tenaga Nasional Bhd cut the power duo to an unpaid electricity bill since September 2017 amounting to RM8,000.
The power supply was reconnected at around 1.30pm after the school settled the pending bills.
“It was very hot and uncomfortable to sit inside the classroom to study but I was happy to play around with my friends since there was a power cut,” said 12-year-old Sharvin Chandran.
The children seem to be enjoying the situation as teachers could not conduct classes without power.
Present to evaluate the situation were Taman Medan Federal Government Development assistant coordinator Datuk Abdul Mutalif Abdul Rahim, Bukit Gasing assemblyman R. Rajiv and Bukit Gasing Gerakan area coordinator Chai Ko Thing.
