Taiwan’s ‘Auntie Chen’ meets fans

GEORGE TOWN: Taiwan’s “most beautiful auntie”, Chen Mei Feng, shared her secrets to looking younger in a meet-and-greet session with fans at Gurney Paragon Mall here.

The 61-year-old TV personality told the crowd that it is important to have a positive outlook in life, avoid worrying about little things, keep good company and lead a healthy lifestyle.

“I try to sleep early and not stay up too late like many people do nowadays. Getting a good night’s rest can benefit one’s complexion. As a singer, it also helps my voice.

“When I wake up, I’ll have a glass of warm water with a few bits of ginger as it is good for circulation,” said Chen.

Her appearance was the highlight of the three-day Celebrate Asia with Us roadshow by dimsum, a Malaysian subscription video-on-demand service operated by SMG Entertainment Sdn Bhd (formerly known as Star Online Sdn Bhd, part of Star Media Group).

Chen, who hosts the popular show A Date with Mei Feng – available on dimsum – also serenaded the crowd with the numbers Why You Fall in Love with Someone and Hope to See You Again.

In between stage games, she also advised, “It’s great to have friends to meet up and have a drink with. And perhaps a dog as your loyal companion.”

The roadshow, held in conjunction with dimsum’s first anniversary, continues from 10am to 10pm today at the mall’s atrium.

There are various booths offering games and fun activities.

Take advantage of a special offer to subscribe at only RM5 a month, and have access to a myriad of shows from China, Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Thailand and Malaysia.
