Malaysians love Siti Nurhaliza and Ed Sheeran, according to Spotify

Datuk Seri Siti Nurhaliza proves she is indeed the queen in the local music scene as she is named the Most Streamed Local Artiste in Malaysia in 2017. Siti, who is currently taking a break from the music scene as she is pregnant, released her 17th album SimetriSiti in May. She is trailed by Faizal Tahir, Malique, Yuna and Uniq.

In its annual Year In Music, Spotify reveals that Ed Sheeran is the Most Streamed Artiste of 2017 in Malaysia as well as globally. No surprise there as the British singer’s latest album ÷ (Divide) is also the Most Streamed Album of the year, clocking 3.1 billion streams worldwide while his hit single Shape Of You is named the Most Streamed Track of all time on Spotify, now with over 1.4 billion streams.
